About the Quartet

Elisabeth Kern-Roos, violin, received her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance with Magna Cum Laude from Metropolitan State College in Denver. She currently performs as Concert Master with the Denver Pops Orchestra and can also be heard performing with the band AcoUUstics at coffeehouses in Lafayette.  Elisabeth is a native of Switzerland where she frequently performs. She teaches private lessons from her studio in Westminster (www.HappyToons.net) and is an active member with the local Colorado Music Teachers Association.

Sarah Avery, violin/viola, has studied at Indiana University, University of Kansas, University of Northern Colorado, and in London.  Her performing has taken her to Venezuela, Europe, and the USA.  She co-founded the String Orchestra of the Rockies in Montana and the String Quartet Program of Northern Colorado.  She teaches middle school orchestra in Greeley and performs as principal viola with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra.

Beth Robison, violin/viola, received her degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado.  She has taught music privately, as well as in the public schools, and has played with orchestras in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Colorado.  She is currently assistant principal viola with Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra.  She also serves as the Executive Director of the String Quartet Program of Northern Colorado and lives with her family in Longmont.

Elizabeth LaManna, violoncello, received her degrees from Indiana University.  From there she performed in orchestras in Europe, Venezuela, and the USA.  She taught at the State University of New York in Oswego, founded the Kansas City String Quartet Program, and presently teaches privately and is the Artistic Director of the String Quartet Program of Northern Colorado.
